Stepping In
Aug 7th, 2010 by Arkmulebarn
I looked up and it was the end of the first week of August. Don’t know quite what happened to July…
I finished listening to the second and third audio installments of Kat Richardson’s Greywalker series. It has begun to take a turn I did not expect. This was further emphasized when I downloaded #4 onto my Kindle.
I really enjoy the story telling, but this genre is one I’m not a regular visitor to, so I’m a bit disconcerted. But I’m enjoying the books!
If your local PBS station is in mid-pledge drive, please don’t ignore them and walk away. If you can, please send in a pledge. You watch the station, right? Support it! They need your help.
Ditto for any local organization that needs your assistance. Even a few dollars can be a huge help. Believe me, it will be appreciated.
In my house, we are looking at new ways to eat. It has been an interesting couple of months. I am finding it interesting how my choices are affected by what is, or is not, a good food option. My waistline is showing some positive affects, too.
Miss Annie is a very Contented Cat. I picked up a new collection of toy mousies today at the market and she was thrilled. I’m not sure what happened to her other toy mice, but they seem to have high tailed it under cover. Last week it was a collection of musical balls. Heaven only knows what I’ll be bringing home next week!
Am I the only person who gets hooked on a soap less than 3 months before it closes shop? When I was on vacation I happened to be channel surfing and clicked into As The World Turns. The rest is history. I’ve not only added it to my DVR record list, but I even pick up the bi-weekly soap magazines.
I’m really enjoying the writing and the quality of the performances is amazing.
(And I’m really pleased that at some point it will end and I can go on to something else…)
Before we know it, the Fall TV Season will be here and I’ll be back to a full roster of recordings on my DVR.
Can’t wait!
