Return to Real Life

or…Vacation is over.
Well, here it is July and the heat is back, along with the humidity and ( ! ) rain. The Guy Upstairs must have a nasty sense of humor.
Vacation was wonderful. Just the right combination of rest, relaxation, gadding about, staying home, beautiful weather and peace and quiet.
I got back to being able to stay up LATE and enjoy not having to keep up with a clock.
I drove the cat crazy. She spent the first real day (Monday) wondering if I was ill, late, or what. When I gently reminded her that this was the Vacation I’d been talking about for a couple of weeks, she looked at me as if I were nuts.
This was compensated for when I returned to work on Tuesday to come home to a cat who was convinced I had left her. I even got purred at when I picked her up and held her.
There’s something to be said for a feline panic attack, I’m thinking. 
Hope you caught David Suchet’s trip on the Orient Express. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the Masterpiece episode: Murder on the Orient Express.
Summer is here, along with reruns, specials and out of the ordinary television. I’m enjoying the expanded PBS lineup in my area.
In the mean time I’m enjoying my music collection, Delilah on the radio and some old(er) PC Games.
